UNCOVER attended the 23rd Triennial Meeting of the International Academy of Forensic Sciences (IAFS)

UNCOVER partners will be present at the 23rd Triennial Meeting of the International Academy of Forensic Sciences (IAFS), in Sydney, Australia, from 19 to 24 November 2023.

The IAFS is a worldwide association of academics and practitioners from a variety of forensic science disciplines, including Forensic Pathologists, Death Investigators; forensic scientists; Professionals working in police, government or private forensic laboratories dealing with fingerprints, DNA, drug analysis, toxicology, firearms, documents, traces, accident reconstruction, etc. And other branches of forensic science.

The objective of the IAFS is the continued development of forensic science. In addition to assisting forensic scientists and other professionals in the exchange of scientific and technical information.

IAFS meetings take place every three years and this year it will bring together academics and practitioners from all forensic science disciplines, including forensic medicine.

The highly anticipated Scientific Program will contribute to the development of forensic science and help forensic scientists and others to exchange scientific and technical information.

The theme of the Meeting is ‘where to from here?‘. The theme asks the forensic science community to review contemporary practices and consider strategies to improve operational contributions and effectiveness in light of current and future challenges.

Our partners BKA & NFI will lead a Workshop on “The Art and Science of Data Hiding – An Introduction to Steganography and Steganalysis”. The session will take place on November 19, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the University of Technology in Sydney.
