UNCOVER was present at the biggest European Forensic Science Event, more precisely the EAFS 2022. The European Academy of Forensic Science Conference was held in Stockholm, Sweden, on May 30th – June 3rd June 2022 and was organised by the National Forensic Centre (NFC), which is a partner from UNCOVER.
The objective of this conference is to explore developments in the forensic science community reflecting the needs of law enforcement agencies combating organised crime and terrorism as well as new areas of criminal activities. The theme of the event was “Together for a safer world” in order to emphasize the importance of cooperation to meet the future expectations of the forensic community and stakeholders.
Over 1000 European and international practitioners, researchers, managers and stakeholders of the forensic science community alongside EU agencies, academia, industrial partners and international organisations participated during the conference. Several partners from UNCOVER attended the conference (RMA, NICC, NFC/SPA, BKA, NFI), taking this opportunity to present the project to a broader audience. Moreover, UNCOVER was presented by RMA at the conference during a dedicated allocated oral presentation and with an exposition booth at the European day occupied mainly by RMA.
